my little one has had an abundance of wonderful hand-me-down clothes, books and toys. one of baby’s favorite toys been the musical tea-for-two set. the tea pot sings a few melodic songs and makes a sound when you pour. it’s quite cute! so this morning’s breakfast is dedicated to tea for two or three or four … with a little cake of course!

yesterday was the annual Star Wars Reads Day. in a local event, this year’s event focused on the retelling of the original trilogy. authors Alexandra Bracken, Adam Gidwiz and Tom Angleberger talked about the books they wrote and then allowed the audience to play Star Wars trivia as well as get quizzed by the fans! so this morning’s breakfast was dedicated to them!

k’s daycare cooking class was going to have waffles so i had to either find or make waffles that k could eat in class. easiest would be to find one that was gluten free vegan and with concerns of k’s allergies, they also had to be made of ingredients that k has already been introduced to.
luckily there was one in our local store that we could try: Van’s gluten free flax waffles. it has no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. it is sweetened with fruit juices instead of high fructose corn syrup. in addition, it is gluten free, egg free and non GMO Project verified.
