recipe: vegetable stock

when your child has a garlic allergy, some things are tough … savory snacks and stock. when m makes stock, it takes half day. but with my handy new pressure cooker, it can be done in less than an hour. i threw in my staples and voila – stock that i can make, can and save for future use!

  • pressure cooker

vegetable stockingredients

  • 6 carrots
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 1 celery heart
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 medium potato
  • 1 medium turnip, optional
  • 1 lb mushrooms, optional
  • 6 cups water

preparation

  1. vegetable stockchop all vegetables into chunks
  2. add vegetables into pressure cooker
  3. add water
  4. cook on manual for 30 minutes
