book: “Bread and Jam for Frances” by Russell Hoban and Lillian Hoban

Bread and Jam for Frances

i must have read Bread and Jam for Frances a long time ago that at some point i owned a copy of the book … though i don’t really know when cuz it’s been in my house before k was born. but my memory of reading it vs. reading it for k has been two different experiences.

k started to recite words related to food so she enjoyed reading this book. she liked to point at the pictures and say “spoon” and “pasta”. she especially liked listening to Frances’ little songs. after she hears one, she would point to it and have us read it again and again instead of continuing the rest of the story. sometimes she would ask for the book and have us just read the songs.

it has been so much fun to share this book with k!
